Paying safely
Buying a car is a big payment and fraudsters know it. They copy real dealers’ emails and invoices and swap in their own bank details. These four rules keep your money safe with us.
Rule 1
You are always paying WM & Sons Motors Ltd
Every payment for a car, a deposit or anything else goes to WM & Sons Motors Ltd and nobody else. Not a person, not a third party, not a different company name.
Rule 2
We never change our bank details by email or text
If a message tells you our bank details have changed, it is not from us. Do not pay. Ring us.
Rule 3
Call before you transfer
Before you send any bank transfer, call us on 0204 646 8471 and confirm the payee and the amount with a member of the team. It takes two minutes and it is the best protection you have.
Rule 4
Card deposits only through our secure link
If we ask for a card deposit, it comes as a link from us that opens a secure Stripe payment page. We will never ask you to read card numbers out over the phone, by message or by email.
